World Interfaith Harmony Week

Feb 2, 2023

Thirteen years ago, the United Nations General Assembly adopted World Interfaith Harmony Week which encourages all interfaith groups and other groups of goodwill to showcase their work and celebrate one another. Taking this to heart, our Grade 4M students led their classmates and teachers through a morning assembly that reflected on our relationships with one another regardless of our difference, seen or unseen. They focused on the importance of love and respect for each other regardless of race, sexual orientation, skin colour, or religion, and they used song, prayer, words, and candlelight to help celebrate and represent faiths from around the world. This week is very much in keeping with our Sacred Heart mission, and we look forward every year to putting it on the pedestal it deserves.
