Opening Of School Liturgy

Sep 22, 2023

Led by Archbishop Dunn and with our 175th anniversary as the backdrop, we celebrated an uplifting Opening of School Liturgy this week. Archbishop Dunn invoked this year’s school theme by having us reflect on the past, think about our present, and envision how we can contribute to the future. We were joined by our local RSCJ along with special guest, Sr. Suzanne Cooke, Provincial of the Society of the Sacred Heart who congratulated us on our 175th anniversary and reminded our students how privileged they were to be part of this important mission and legacy. The service was filled with prayer that included readings from student leaders, reflection, and singing from the elegant voices of our student choir with musical accompaniment by faculty members. Thank you to Sr. King, RSCJ who echoed many of Archbishop Dunn’s messages in a blessing specially prepared for our Junior Primary to Grade 3 students. It was a joyous way to mark the beginning of our 175th school year.
