Brigadoon Village Makes for an Amazing Outdoor Classroom

Oct 11, 2023

Adventure and learning were on tap at the annual Grade 8 trip to Brigadoon Village, one of the most-loved field trips of the year. Students took part in a number of outdoor challenges that tested their skills and endurance, including archery, high rope climbing, and survival skills, and also enjoyed arts and crafts, games, and singing around campfires. This experience replaces the traditional indoor classroom with the great outdoors filled with trees, fresh air, and blue skies, but otherwise, the learning doesn’t stop. Nor does the opportunity to cement friendships, forge new bonds, and make lasting memories.

This field trip would not be the success it was without the incredible support of faculty supervisors, and this year we would like to thank Claudia Cubillos, Erin Gouthro, Polina Lerman, Andreas Rotta-Loria, Janice McQuaid, Janelle Misener, and Kathryn Ross who ensured the trek to Brigadoon Village went off without a hitch.
