2023 Summer Camps

Our popular Shark Camps are back for 2023! Open to anyone, these camps offer a variety of fun, themed camp experiences for children and teens.

Full-Day Camps: Grades Primary to 5

These full-day (8:00am-5:00pm) Sacred Heart Shark Camps are open to any child in Grades Primary to 5. The daily schedule includes indoor and outdoor play, games, activities, and thematic experiences. Camps cost $425 per week and include two healthy snacks and an exclusive SHSH Shark Camp t-shirt.

Mad Science: July 31-August 4

Mad Science joins us as we explore science through experiments and activities. Campers will learn about forces, the senses, and different types of reactions. And, they’ll get experiments to share at home!

Sportball: August 8-11

In this camp, children can take part in a non-competitive sports program with this Sportball experience where they will learn physical literacy and sports skills through fun activities and games. Our campers will make use of our well-equipped gyms and outdoor spaces.

Halifax Circus: August 14-18

In this exciting camp, Halifax Circus will teach children the basics of circus performance from balance to juggling. Workshops will be held on campus at Sacred Heart and at Halifax Circus.

Coding Jeunesse: August 21-25

Coding Jeunesse will expand kids’ knowledge of coding through Scratch and Scratch Jr. Learning to code is like learning a new language: it opens doors in all areas of life! Kids unleash their creativity when they start coding and become better communicators and problem-solvers.

Half-Day Camps: Grades 6+

These half-day (9:00am-12:00pm) Sacred Heart Shark Camps are open to any child in Grades 5-8. The daily schedule includes indoor and outdoor play, games, activities, and thematic experiences. Price varies by camp.

Debating with Sodales: August 8-11 ($200)

Sodales, the Dalhousie University and Kings College Debate Society, will lead this camp which will take campers through the basics of debate with a focus on the parliamentary style. Debating is a great way to build presentation, leadership, and communication skills.

Innovation: August 14-18 ($300)

Back for its second year, Innovation with Michael McCallum is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn how to use the most current technology. The course will cover 3D design and printing, Virtual Reality, and more. With full access to our Media Studio and Innovation Lab, this is a camp not to be missed!

Basketball: August 21-25

Chaz Samuel is a basketball skills trainer with years of experience playing the sport at various levels including at the collegiate level in the United States and on the Antigua and Barbuda national team. His love for basketball has converted into a passion for making an impact in the community while teaching kids the fundamentals of basketball, a dynamic and fun sport that helps to build mental and physical stamina, strength, and skills.
