Strong Finishes and PB’s at XC Provincials

Oct 10, 2022

If there were any pre-race jitters at yesterday’s Nova Scotia Cross-Country Provincials, our Sacred Heart team didn’t show it, posting some incredible results and proving to themselves that when they put their hearts and minds to it, they could surpass their expectations.

Led by Anna MacDonald who placed 7th overall in the province, our Jr. Girls team pushed themselves to earn a top-ten finish as the 8th overall team at the meet. In the Intermediate Girls Division, Liviya Driver put the pedal to the metal and cruised to a rock-solid impressive 17th-place finish. Finally, our Sr. Girls buckled down and each one of them broke their own time from the Capital Region race earlier in the month, showing everyone, but especially themselves, that they are always getting better.

A big congratulations to all of our Sacred Heart runners who conquered the trails at Point Pleasant Park. And special thanks to our coaches, Shoneth Leadbetter, Bonnie LeFrank, Kathleen Groves, Jared Griffiths, Laura Elworthy, and Robin Short. What a team!
