International Visiting Student Program

Interested in other cultures? How about the chance to learn another language, or live in a different country? At Sacred Heart School of Halifax, we offer our students the world.
With over 150 schools around the world, the Sacred Heart network is vast and closely united. Our students have the opportunity to join our International Visiting Student Program to host a Sacred Heart student from abroad and to travel to other countries to attend another Sacred Heart school to live with a local Sacred Heart family. This personalized global approach is an important part of who we are at SHSH. We know new horizons provide new perspectives, and with that comes new opportunities to make a difference in this great big world of ours. New friendships and global connections will also set students up well for their professional future.

"One thing that I love about Sacred Heart is how your identity as a Sacred Heart student follows you no matter where you are in the world. I experienced this phenomenon first-hand during my exchange to Mount Anville School in Dublin, Ireland in March of 2015. While this was a school exchange, I learned as much outside of the classroom as I did during labs and lectures. The exchange provided me a safe space to test my personal boundaries and as a result, I learned a lot about myself and feel as though I really matured on my trip. I am grateful for the many friends I met through this experience - especially my exchange sister - who I remain in contact with to this day. From start to finish, my experience with the Sacred Heart exchange program was nothing short of amazing and I am infinitely grateful to have had this experience."
