First Ever LEGO Design Competition Has Tremendous Turnout
We recently held our first-ever School-wide LEGO Design Competition, and the student-designed submissions of all shapes and sizes absolutely astounded our judges.
Each design was critiqued and given points based on presentation, originality, complexity of space, use of colour, and creativity/story behind the piece. Congratulations to MJ Bent, Isabella Jennex, and Elianne Cao, who together created amazingly detail-oriented replicas of the "First Three Covers of the Keeper of the Lost Cities" book series. Well done! Congratulations also to the Elementary School runner-ups: Beatrice Tarulli for her imaginative concept "City of Islands", Harry Held for his original "Top Gear Snow Plow Tractor" design, and brothers Malcolm, William, and Iain Morency for their clever take on a "Hobbit Hole". Kudos to Senior School runner-up Fintan Canning for his larger-than-life "Castle on Wheels". Special thanks to our esteemed judges, Mr. Jamie MacDonald, Ms. Sherry Jollymore, and Mrs. Rebecca Fear, and to Mrs. Laurie Tarulli for organizing the competition and displaying the designs so artfully in the Library.
