Local mystery author, Geraldine Tuck, recently conducted some fun workshops in our Library involving her latest novel, “Halifax Explosion Mystery”.
She’s the second author to visit our school this year from the Writers’ Federation of Nova Scotia program, “Writers In The Schools”. Geraldine read excerpts from the final book of her Marauders series and our students learned how this momentous event changed our city’s history. In the interactive portion, they recreated maps that could be used to hunt a treasured family heirloom. Thank you Geraldine for teaching our students more about the history of the Halifax explosion, and how one weaves history with fiction to craft such incredible stories.
