It was an all-out bookworm battle yesterday, as students from Grades P-6 put their listening and reading skills to the test during Battle of the Books.
Every week, students who are interested in reading have been meeting to read books aloud, and listen attentively while taking in as many details about each book as possible. During the competition, students were asked questions relating to the books they’ve read, and were granted points based on correct answers. The room was buzzing with excitement during the battle as students took turns reporting their answers to student leaders. The Red Team won the day, with the Yellow Team coming in a close second. We’d like to thank all of our student leaders from Grades 5 and 6 for being fair and accurate judges, and to our teachers for making this possible, and for keeping the “Oreo cookie exit” tradition alive!
