The grade 8 girls and grade 7 boys are back from their camping trips to Brigadoon; and what whirlwind trips they were! These annual expeditions are all about outdoor adventure, teamwork, and leadership and are set in the beautiful terrain of the Annapolis Valley.
This year the students learned survival skills like how to light a campfire with a magnifying glass, played Quidditch and ultimate Frisbee, channeled their inner “Katniss Everdeen” at the archery range, and rowed in teams around Aylesford Lake. Thanks to faculty members Ms. Fear, Ms. Hammond, Ms. MacDonald, Mrs. MacKenzie, Mrs. McQuaid, and Ms. Misener, the fearless trip leaders. It was also great to see new Senior School Principal Mr. MacAskill and Vice Principal Mr. Pinches were there for visits. What a spectacular way to start the new school year.
