Both Grade 6 classes recently shared a day of reflection as they came together to celebrate the past year and share what they are looking forward to as they take the big step from elementary to senior school.
A highlight of the afternoon was making Irish soda bread with Headmistress Wachter. Each student provided an ingredient symbolizing the gift that each individual brings to the group. When the bread was made, individual ingredients couldn’t be distinguished, however without one, the bread (or the group) wouldn’t be the same. The Grade 6’s shared their bread together while reading encouraging letters from their parents. Special thanks to Ms. Schrader and Headmistress Wachter for organizing and celebrating this special day with our Grade 6’s. As they look ahead to this new chapter in their lives, we wish them the best of luck in Grade 7.
