Our Grade 3's left the present and traveled to the past for a trip to Ross Farm Museum in New Ross.
They learned some old-school life lessons, like what trees create the best heat for cooking, how to make moulded and dipped candles, what it's like to write with a slate and quill pen, and how much strength it takes to power something without electricity. Their visit also included a horse-drawn wagon ride and an up-close look at the farm animals. During their 19th-century hands-on experience, our Grade 3's were able to appreciate the conveniences that make our lives easier and that we now take for granted - things like electricity, tools, and technology. A big thank you to Mr. Kane and Ms. Fraser for making this trip such a memorable experience!
