Camp 10 Adventure for the Grade 10 Barat Academy Girls

A two-day adventure was an early highlight of the year for the Grade 10 Barat Academy girls as they enjoyed indoor and outdoor activities as part of the annual Camp 10.
First up was a trip to East Peak Climbing in Halifax where they safely spent the day bouldering, top rope climbing, and belaying thanks to a great introduction and support from the qualified staff. The next day it was off to On Tree in Martock, where the girls safely conquered the many ziplines and challenges on the high ropes courses in the trees. Of course this adventure was much more than physical exertion, the purpose of Camp 10 is to provide the students with challenges that are just outside of their comfort zones; activities that are designed to test them both physically and mentally. The girls did a tremendous job adapting and working together as they communicated, collaborated, and thought creatively to get themselves and each other through the various challenges. It's two days the girls and their chaperone, Ms. Ross, won't soon forget.
