A little technology and a lot of passion combined for our first-ever virtual choir!

Back in March when we, along with the world, went into lockdown mode to combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus, we had to cancel many of our beloved traditions and events, including our Elementary School Musical. But, thanks to the passion, creativity, and dedication of Music Teacher and Choir Director, Adele Merritt, the show went on!
Over the summer, Ms. Merrit worked with 29 of our ES students over Zoom. They rehearsed, learned how to perform in front of a camera, and worked with our musicians to fine-tune their presentation. The payoff? The first-ever Sacred Heart Virtual Choir which we are delighted to share. Here, they are performing “I Believe”, an upbeat song specifically chosen by Ms. Merritt for its timely and important message of hope and unity.

Thank you to Mrs. Merritt for leading this amazing project and for her dedication to our students and to the arts. Big thanks as well to Linda George-Wegener, Steve Tugwell, Rebecca Fear, Moira McDonald, and Steffan George-Wegner who contributed their musical talents to accompany the students. And of course a big congratulations and hats off to our students who did such an amazing job!
