Terry Fox Run has Terrific Turn Out!

Rain never stopped Terry Fox during his Marathon of Hope, and it certainly didn’t stop us last Friday. In fact, this year’s Terry Fox Run saw the highest level of active participation at SHSH than ever before!
Teachers, parents, and students from Junior Primary to Grade 12 walked, jogged, and ran their way around the Emera Oval to raise awareness and funds for the Terry Fox Foundation. The event started with a lap by the Junior Primary and Primary students, followed by our Grade 1 and 2 students, who doubled their efforts. The whole school joined in, and had an incredible time while exemplifying Sacred Heart Goals of social awareness, building community, and personal growth. Thanks to our community's collective effort, we raised over $7,000. To celebrate, Logan, the ES student who collected the most pledges, got to pie Principal Tugwell; which he did with obvious delight!
